GEC is not ALL about horses, we have our fill of fowl.

GEC is a working farm with many feathered friends.

Our chickens take center stage as they produce some of the best fresh eggs in the county.  We have various breeds that make our egg variety delicious.  All proceeds support the horses care in our Hugs for Horses program.

We then have Guineafowl, the insect- and seed-eating, ground-nesting birds that resemble partridges, but with featherless heads.  They keep the insect population in check and provide entertainment to anyone watching them run around.

We have ducks in our pond and geese that visit throughout the year along with our barn swallows and numerous other native birds.  Can you find the lone turkey in our flock?

Meet George, the Great Pyrenees, that protects the flock.  He is very friendly and if you pet him, he may sit on your feet to make you pet him some more!
